Show Your Support with a Donation

We're planning now for a busy 2012

The need for emergency aid continues month after month. We need your support!

Be a change maker

Join Metrocrest Social Services and our many supporters as we continue to change lives in our community each day. In 2011, MSS launched its Change Maker Campaign. We are seeking 1,000 Change Makers in the community to commit $20 per month to our mission of preventing homeless in our neighborhoods.

For less than $1 a day, you can:

  • Provide almost 150 pounds of ground beef each month to serve families through our pantry
  • Assist 2 families with their utility bills throughout the year
  • Provide rental assistance for one family this year that will keep them off the streets

If you are ready to take the first step in changing lives right here in your community, make your contribution in one of the following ways listed below.

ACH or Automatic Bank Draft

Click here to set up a secure automatic monthly bank draft. You will receive a confirmation when your draft has been created by Metrocrest Social Services. At the end of each year, Metrocrest Social Services will send you an annual thank you letter with your total contributions for the year. Please use the letter as your official receipt.

Metrocrest Resale Store Donations

Our Metrocrest Resale store furnishes clothing and furniture at no cost to families facing emergencies. The revenues generated by Thrift Store sales help support the agency and its mission to serve families in need. Replacing your dining room furniture, bedroom furniture, or living room furniture?  Donate the gently used items to Metrocrest Resale. With two trucks now available to help with pick ups, there’s no telling how quickly our driver and truck can arrive at your place to move it on out!

We accept donations of useable furniture and household items, wearable clothing, and items of value. At this time, we are not able to accept used computers and computer components, ovens and dishwashers, and any non-working appliances.

Garage Sale Donation Limitations

Metrocrest Resale works with individuals and organizations to pick up donations after garage and rummage sales. Please note the following guidelines:

  • It is essential to schedule pick-up of donations from garage sales as far in advance as possible. Our agency truck is scheduled on a “first-scheduled, first-served” basis; on weekends and during busy times of the year, we may decline to pick up donations if the truck schedule is full. Please call 972-418-1900 to schedule a pick-up.

  • Items to be donated must be boxed up and ready to go; due to tight scheduling demands, our drivers can only take items that are boxed and ready when the driver arrives.

  • We accept donations of useable furniture and household items, wearable clothing, and items of value to be sold in the Thrift Store.

  • At this time, we are NOT ACCEPTING used computers and computer components, children's clothing or toys, ovens, dishwashers, and any non-working appliances.

  • Upon arrival at your location, Metrocrest Resale drivers make the final judgment as to what donations can be accepted based on current store needs and storage available. The driver may be unable to accept all items. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Your donation to the Metrocrest Resale is tax-deductible and a receipt will be provided. Revenues from the Metrocrest Resale support day-to-day operations of Metrocrest Social Services and our goal to prevent homelessness and improve lives of those in our community.

Thank you for your donation!
